Sunnats

I went to him and expressed my intention. Rasulullah ( ).:.._;~:os!J.;,) was pleased and, accepting the proposal, asked: "Ali, do you possess any riches?" I replied,: "Apart from a horse and a shield I possess nothing". He said, : "A soldier must of course, have his horse. Go and sell your shield ." Hazrat Ali ( ~J\i3:0S1~;) went and sold his shield for 400 dirhams. Thereafter Rasulullah ( ~j~:OS1j..; ) called Hazrat Bilal ( ~J'-'3:0,1~; ) and asked him to bring 'itar' (perfume - non alcoholic) and a few other things and sent Hazrat Anas (~J'-'3:J11~;) to call Hazrat Abu Bakr, Uthman, Zubair (~J\i3:0S1~;) with some men of the Ansar. When there men arrived and had taken their seats, Rasulullah ( ;l:.,..,~:os,j..; ) recited the Khutba of Nikah and gave Hazrat Fatima (~J~~1~;) in nikah quite simply to Hazrat Ali (~J~:-i,1~;). He said: "Bear you all witness, I have given Fatima to Ali for 400 misqals of silver and Ali has accepted". He then raised his head and made dua. ------~------
